Saturday post "Let's rock"

With the sad news that Mike Nesmith has passed away yesterday.  This hit a chord with me as I was watching them from the start.

  4. Yes, I followed the Monkees, too. And liked their music. Daydream Believe, just one of their iconic songs.

    I’m a Believer . . . another iconic Monkee’s song. Fun.

Love Wipe Out! Fun song to dance to!

The Locomotion – another FUN song to dance to.

Walk of life by Dire Straits – such a great song.

    Fun songs, thanks for sharing!

  7. You surprised me. I expected all Monkees' tunes. I too watched them from the beginning. I catch them occasionally on reruns. Tomorrow a local station is running The Monkees all morning as a tribute.

    Happy Saturday!

  9. Love, love, love their music. I was platonic in love of Davy Jones, LOL. So now, it's only Mickey Dolenz. Sigh! Happy Sunday!

  10. What a loss. I have many great memories of watching the Monkees as a child, and have enjoyed their reruns as well. Played their albums until they were completely worn out. Glad I can still enjoy them online.
