Ringmir Car Show 2

 We are near the end of the week, where just does the time go. Well, here is the second of last Sunday's car show.



This one went right to my heart as my Grandfather had a 1949 version of this car. It is the model before his. It's a Morris 8E 1938 vintage. I had a lovely talk withe the owner about the car and my grandfather. Lot of good memories.





I am told there are only about 140 of these left on the UK roads, sad.

    Is the green one an old Duesenberg? They are all wonderful pieces of history, taken care of properly.....thanks for the pics Trev...I love vehicles like this...

Thursday's post "Airshow"

 Good morning. This should have been posted on Tuesday but busy after the BH just got in the way. Sunday I went to Headcorn airfield to see a friend's son jump out of a perfectly good plane.  His choice.  When we got there they had an air display and a classic car meet one, this was not known to us. My friend (not the one jumping) has a damaged tendon at the back of his knee and can't walk too far. So we didn't bother with the cars. We set u at the cafe and stayed there until his son did his jump. This is where I took my photos. Monday's post "Knights jousting"

 A few years ago I went to Leads Castle where knights were putting on this display. I am not kidding this was as real as it gets. The swords were not sharp but the lances WERE really.
